The Tri-Lakes Community Alliance is devoted to supporting a thriving quality of life and culture in the North Warren community.  The Alliance is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization of volunteers in the towns of Chester and Horicon working together. Meetings are held every 2nd Friday of the month at 9am at The Panther Mountain Inn.

There are only two rules:

  1. Meetings last for only 1 hour
  2. Only 1 person speaks at a time

Minutes | July 9, 2021

Ø  Farmer’s Market is having a great season – Open every Wednesday from 10AM to 2PM – Live music weekly!

Ø  Brant Lake Canoe Race – August 7th – sign  up at https://www.northwarrencanoe.com/

Ø  Carol Theatre will be open with live shows on August 13th and September 17th. Help is needed with concession stands, ticket sales, etc. so if you can help out, contact Vanessa Hutton at [email protected] 

Ø  Chamber of Commerce has new maps out highlighting the ‘things to do’ in our community

Ø  Mike Geraci introduced himself as he will be taking over the Horicon Supervisor position – he has been in Public Service as a police officer, Chief of Police and EMS in the Colonie area and we welcome him to his new position!

Ø  Matt Simpson, our Congressional Representative, also spoke to the group and discussed a new incentive for businesses to buy locally produced products. Read more

Ø  Great to see everyone at the meeting and a huge thanks to the Panther Mt. Pub for allowing us to have our meetings there as in the past!!!!

Ø  Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony will be held in Chestertown on Monday,  May 31. Legion Riders, Veterans riding in vehicles, Fire Trucks from the community will line-up  at the Chestertown Fire House at 10:15 a.m.  with departure to Rt 9 at 10:45 a.m. Marchers and Floats (organizations, families, business sponsored vehicles) line-up at 10:15 a.m.  on Church Street, to  join (march/drive) ahead of fire trucks at approx. 10:50 a.m. Parade Route: From Bullhouse via Church street to Chestertown Municipal Center on Route 9. Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial  at 11:00 a.m. We are hoping to have a great turn-out as our community practices a Common-Sense Approach for marchers and viewers to Honor our Fallen Heroes. The last community parade was for St Patrick’s Day on March 14 2020 as the Pandemic was taking hold of the many changes we have experienced in our daily lives. This parade is a way of honoring our veterans, and celebrating the awakening of our community and country this summer. Ø  Chestertown Farmer’s Market is set to open on the front lawn of the town hall on June 16th from 10am – 2pm. All of our seasoned vendors and a few new ones so make sure you stop by! Social distancing and mask wearing will be required until further notice. Read more
